CHANNEL DETAILS
Everton will be desperate to get one over bogey side Aston Villa when the teams go head-to-head at Goodison Park.

Villa are unbeaten in six league games against The Toffees and they have lost just once in their last five league trips to the blue half of Merseyside.

Joleon Lescott scored a late equaliser against Villa last season only for Ashley Young to win the game with the last kick of the game.

It has been a stop-start season for David Moyes' side having won just three of their nine league outings to date in the new campaign.

Villa meanwhile have looked genuine contenders for a UEFA Champions League place and have already beaten the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Everton news

Moyes could have defenders Leighton Baines and Joseph Yobo available for selection for the visit of Villa.

Baines (calf) and Yobo (concussion) missed their midweek Carling Cup defeat to Spurs, but could be available for this weekend.

Everton have gone five matches in all competitions without a win and will be desperate to end the month how they started it, with victory.

Louis Saha is likely to remain in attack, although it remains to be seen whether he is partnered by Yakubu Aiyegbeni or Jo.

The game comes too soon for the likes of Phil Neville, Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta, Steven Pienaar, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and Victor Anichebe.

Villa news

Brad Guzan will be the unlucky man as he makes way for Brad Friedel to make his 200th successive Premier League appearance against Everton.

Guzan was the hero in Villa's midweek Carling Cup win at Sunderland, saving Kenwyne Jones' penalty before making three saves in the shoot-out.

Left-back Stephen Warnock is battling to overcome an ankle injury suffered in midweek and Nicky Shorey could deputise if he is ruled out.

Striker Emile Heskey and midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker picked up knocks but Villa manager Martin O'Neill is hopeful of having them available.

John Carew and Steve Sidwell, who made way for the duo at the Stadium of Light, will be in contention for a recall to the starting line-up.
